    Takes you to the trail of two of Iceland’s most popular highland hiking routes, the Laugavegur hiking trail and the Fimmvörðuháls hiking trail.

    You will get bus transfer from Reykjavík and choose between three hiking bases to start from. With the Highland Hikers Passport you enjoy the flexibility and take as much time for the hike as you please (from June 14th – September 8th). The landscape is unique with calm and quiet surroundings, an extraordinary adventure. There is nothing quite like the sound of silence.

    The Higland Hikers Passport is valid from June 20th to September 09th for transfer to the beginning of your hike and back from the end point. (2 transfers – choice between 3 routes). Please note that September 9th is the last day of operations!

    Just remember to be on the safe side, it is wise to be updated on the weather forecast. You can check the weather and road conditions by calling 1777 and 1779. Make travel plans and be prepared with the right gear for the conditions. Just select the starting point of your hike and choose between return points.

    Highlights:

    • With the Highland Hikers Passport you can choose three locations to start from: Skógar waterfall, Landmannalaugar or Þórsmörk
    • Laugavegur hiking trail is between the nature reserves Landmannalaugar and Þórsmörk. The trail offers variety of unique landscape: colorful mountains, magnificent glaciers and hot springs.
    • Fimmvörðuháls hiking trail is between Skógar and Þórsmörk and leads you between the famous Eyjafjallajökull that erupted in 2010 and Mýrdalsjökull glacier.
    • This Passport is a discounted one way ticket from Reykjavík to one of the three starting destinations and one way ticket back to Reykjavík from where you finish your hike.

    The ticket is valid to the start of the trail and back from the trail, no going back and forth.
