To increase our appetite the tour includes a short hike, where we visit natural attractions such as waterfalls, ravines and lava fields.
Waterfalls in Iceland are perhaps the country’s most recognizable features. The famous waterfalls you can find in most available tours, by us you visit the less known ones, yet impressive and definitely off the beaten track.
We stop for lunch near Deildartunguhver, Europe’s most powerful hot spring, providing 180 l/sec of 100°C hot water. The lunch is included and consists of a combination of local delicacies.
In our farm visit we get a chance to meet the farmers, hear their story and taste their honest food produce where old traditions meet modern innovation. Our farmers are good storytellers who are proud of their heritage.
In addition we will taste produces from various farmers in the area. The tours vary from day to day and so does the food, but among the tasty food from West Iceland you may find excellent lamb meat, goat and cow cheese, traditional skyr, vegetables and strawberries from geothermally heated greenhouses – just to name a few. A combination of scenic nature and culinary experience, Taste of Nature is a treat for all the senses.
