So, when you walk into a grocery store in Iceland, any grocery store, they usually have about four different types of water bottles you can purchase. And you might look at the price and think: “Oh, that’s not so bad.” Well, newsflash – it’s very bad!
Why? Because the water is free in Iceland. Yes – it’s free! And don’t let anybody tell you any different. The water in every tap, in every home is 100% ok to drink. It’s not full of chemicals or dirty as shit. It’s pure and lovely. Sometimes you have to keep the water running a bit for it to get cold but what’s a few minutes out of your life?
In short – don’t buy water. Never. And don’t believe anyone who tells you, you have to. Just bring a water bottle and fill it up wherever you go.
And like the water – this tip was absolutely free of charge.
